This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") describes the rules and guidelines for using Láttam, Hallottam. Our goal is to create a safe, helpful, and trustworthy community where neighbors can connect. By using our Service, you agree to follow this Policy.

  • Constitutes fraud, phishing, or scams

2.2 Harmful Content

  • Contains hate speech targeting protected characteristics (race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, etc.)
  • Promotes violence or glorifies violent acts
  • Encourages self-harm or suicide
  • Contains graphic violence or gore

2.3 Adult Content

  • Pornography or sexually explicit material
  • Sexual solicitation
  • Content sexualizing minors (zero tolerance; reported to authorities)

2.4 Misleading Content

  • False or misleading information presented as fact
  • Fake events, deals, or job listings
  • Manipulated media intended to deceive
  • Impersonation of individuals, businesses, or organizations
  • False emergency alerts or safety warnings

2.5 Spam and Commercial Abuse

  • Unsolicited advertising or promotions
  • Repetitive posting of the same content
  • Artificially inflating engagement (fake likes, comments)
  • Multi-level marketing or pyramid schemes
  • Clickbait or misleading titles to drive traffic

2.6 Privacy Violations

  • Personal information of others without consent (doxxing)
  • Private communications shared without permission
  • Unauthorized photos or recordings of individuals
  • Content that violates someone's reasonable expectation of privacy

3. Prohibited Items in Marketplace

The following items may not be listed in the marketplace:

3.1 Illegal Items

  • Illegal drugs and controlled substances
  • Prescription medications
  • Weapons, firearms, ammunition, and explosives
  • Stolen property
  • Counterfeit goods and knockoffs
  • Items that infringe intellectual property

3.2 Regulated Items

  • Alcohol and tobacco products
  • Cannabis and CBD products (regardless of local laws)
  • Gambling devices
  • Wildlife and protected species
  • Hazardous materials

3.3 Other Prohibited Items

  • Human remains or body parts
  • Animals (use the Pets section instead)
  • Services (use Jobs section for employment)
  • Recalled items or known safety hazards
  • Adult content or services
  • Tickets obtained through scalping or bots
  • Gift cards with unknown balances
  • Items requiring professional licensing to sell

4. Event Guidelines

When creating or attending events:

  • Only create events you are authorized to publicize
  • Provide accurate dates, times, and locations
  • Clearly state any costs or requirements (tickets, age restrictions, etc.)
  • Update or cancel events promptly if circumstances change
  • Do not create fake events to harvest personal information
  • Respect venue capacity and local gathering restrictions

5. Deal and Discount Guidelines

For both business-posted and user-spotted deals:

  • Only post genuine, verifiable offers
  • Include accurate expiration dates and terms
  • Disclose any restrictions or limitations
  • Do not post referral links disguised as deals
  • Remove expired or unavailable deals promptly
  • Do not artificially manipulate the voting system

6. Missing Pets and Lost & Found

These features exist to help reunite people with their pets and belongings:

6.1 Missing Pet Reports

  • Only report pets you own or are responsible for
  • Provide accurate descriptions and recent photos
  • Update the status promptly when found
  • Respond respectfully to sighting reports
  • Do not use reward offers to lure people into scams

6.2 Sighting Reports

  • Only report genuine sightings
  • Provide accurate location information
  • Do not attempt to capture animals unless safe to do so
  • Do not demand payment for sighting information

6.3 Lost & Found Items

  • Make reasonable efforts to return found items
  • Do not claim items that are not yours
  • Provide accurate descriptions to help verify ownership
  • Do not list obviously discarded items as "found"

7. Club and Community Guidelines

When participating in clubs and community discussions:

  • Stay on topic and relevant to the club's purpose
  • Respect differing opinions and engage constructively
  • Follow any additional rules set by club administrators
  • Do not use clubs primarily for advertising or self-promotion
  • Report violations to club administrators or Láttam, Hallottam

8. Messaging Guidelines

When using private messaging:

  • Do not send unsolicited commercial messages
  • Do not harass or send repeated unwanted messages
  • Do not share private conversations publicly without consent
  • Report suspicious messages that may be scams
  • Be cautious about sharing personal information

9. Job Listing Guidelines

For businesses posting job listings:

  • Only post genuine employment opportunities
  • Provide accurate job descriptions and requirements
  • Include honest salary/compensation information
  • Comply with employment and anti-discrimination laws
  • Do not request sensitive personal information in applications
  • Do not charge applicants fees for job opportunities
  • Respond to applicants in a timely manner

10. Review Guidelines

When writing reviews:

  • Base reviews on genuine personal experiences
  • Be honest and fair in your assessments
  • Do not write fake reviews (positive or negative)
  • Do not accept compensation for reviews without disclosure
  • Do not use reviews to harass businesses or individuals
  • Business owners should not review their own businesses

11. Account and System Abuse

You may not:

  • Create multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions
  • Share accounts with others
  • Sell or transfer your account
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service
  • Attempt to bypass security measures or access controls
  • Overload our systems with excessive requests
  • Interfere with other users' access to the Service
  • Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities in our systems
  • Harvest or collect user information

12. Business Account Responsibilities

Businesses have additional responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date business information
  • Respond to customer inquiries professionally
  • Honor advertised deals and promotions
  • Comply with consumer protection laws
  • Do not misrepresent verification status
  • Report staff members who violate policies

13. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behavior that violates this Policy:

  • In-App Reporting: Use the report button on any content or profile
  • Email: Contact abuse@lattamhallottam.hu with details
  • Emergency: For immediate safety concerns, contact local authorities first

All reports are reviewed by our team. We take action based on the severity of the violation and the user's history. You will not be penalized for good-faith reports.

14. Enforcement

Violations of this Policy may result in:

  • Content labels or warnings
  • Disabling features on specific content

14.2 Account Actions

  • Warning notifications
  • Temporary feature restrictions
  • Temporary account suspension
  • Permanent account termination
  • Device-level bans for severe or repeated violations

  • Reporting to law enforcement for illegal activity
  • Cooperation with legal investigations
  • Civil litigation for damages caused

15. Appeals

We will review your appeal and respond within 14 business days. Our decision on appeals is final.

  • Bring a friend or tell someone where you're going
  • Trust your instincts — if something feels wrong, leave

  • Be wary of deals that seem too good to be true
  • Don't pay in advance for marketplace items without meeting
  • Verify business credentials before making payments

16.3 Online Safety

  • Don't click suspicious links in messages
  • Report scams and phishing attempts
  • Be cautious about sharing photos that reveal your location

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
